It was an usual day or you can say night, back from office, bit of facebooking, went to news sites, the same story of the girl molestation taking different twists every day. Now, some youtube, came upon Satyamev Jayate (Old age episode). As the episode went by, pictures of different persons came to my mind, the different stories were actually happening around me. Son neglecting his parents at their old age, forcefully taking away their property and even to the extent of snatching their belongings, is very much evident in our society. I have been away from home since 2002, and still know such persons in and around who have been doing such misdeeds without slightest fear. The funny part is that, the same lot of people devote ample amount of time to preach God, visit temples. How great is that? You can't respect or care for your parents and still do expect that God be kind to you. We have not seen God in his mortal form, but it is only a belief. But parents are the real God in this world, who brought you to this world. If you are good to your parents, you need not go to a temple. It is a known fact that sons become goons only after they get married. I understand that responsibilities do bury you. But why do you have to forget the people who were responsible for your very existence. If you can care for your wife or even a girlfriend, run around her leaving your responsibilities, why can't you find some time for your parents well being? 50 years down the line, your kids will too learn the same, and treat you in a worse way. And let me remind you it happens only with guys, girls remain the same throughout even if she gets married. Yes, she is also partly responsible, but guys do have a brain and a heart, don't they? If you are away from home, just ask your girlfriend once, that your parents are gonna come over and stay with you permanantly. You will know her intentions wide and clear from her behaviour.

Early morning, back from office, the first task is to log in to Facebook. A familiar face popped up in the "People you may know" section. It was her. With much thought and deliberation, I clicked on it. She was wearing a pretty purple dress and a shiny watch, with a gorgeous smile which she always had, the very smile which used to make me go mad. I smiled. It made me remember of our days together. On weekends, window shopping was a fun activity. She used to stare at the dresses in the malls, look at their price tags and move away. While I used to calculate my finances, but with the little pocket money, it was too much that I can afford. But she used to smile and say, "someday I am gonna have all of them". The day has finally arrived. A teardrop fell down from my cheeks. I was feeling happy and sad at the same time...
